Solicitor <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"156\">Talal Krayem<\/b> appeared for the defendants during a listing for charge certification. While the prosecution requested more time, the defense sent a clear message regarding the pace of the case.<\/p>\n<h5 data-path-to-node=\"4\"><b data-path-to-node=\"4\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Defense Challenges Further Delays<\/b><\/h5>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">During the hearing, the prosecution described the matter as &#8220;complex&#8221; and &#8220;very serious.&#8221; Consequently, they requested a four-week adjournment to finalize the charge certification. Specifically, the prosecutor noted that the conspiracy to murder charges could result in significant penalties upon conviction.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Talal Krayem<\/b> reluctantly accepted the request but issued a stern warning to the court. He stated that he would not consent to any further delays beyond this period.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-path-to-node=\"7\">\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7,0\">\u201c(We are) consenting to the four weeks now, but there will be no more,\u201d Mr. Krayem told the Magistrate.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h5 data-path-to-node=\"8\"><b data-path-to-node=\"8\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Background on the Allegations<\/b><\/h5>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">The case involves an alleged incident in Sydney\u2019s east from July of last year. Police claim the co-accused were involved in a botched attempt to target a prominent figure. However, the prosecution alleges the pair mistakenly targeted a different vehicle before their arrest.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\">The defendants currently face a combined 25 charges, including:<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"11\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\">Conspiracy to murder.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11,1,0\">Possession of a loaded firearm in a public place.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11,2,0\">Stalking and intimidation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11,3,0\">Taking and driving a conveyance without consent.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5 data-path-to-node=\"12\"><b data-path-to-node=\"12\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Procedural Status<\/b><\/h5>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\">To date, the court has recorded no pleas for either individual. Magistrate Daniel Covington acknowledged the defense&#8217;s position and ordered the matter adjourned until <b data-path-to-node=\"13\" data-index-in-node=\"167\">May 8<\/b>.
